"Abdullah asked the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), 'Which deed is most beloved to Allah?' He replied, 'To offer the prayers at their appointed early times."

Our Salah Timings

Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuh,

As we approach the blessed Day of ‘Arafah tomorrow, Thursday the 6th of June, here are some important acts of worship and reminders to make the most of this sacred day:

1. Fasting :
– Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah is highly recommended (mustahabb).
– The Prophet ﷺ said: “It expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.” (Muslim)

2. Du‘ā and Dhikr,
– It is a day of abundant du‘ā, especially in the late afternoon before Maghrib. Du‘ā's are more likely to be accepted on this day.
– Recite lā ilāha illa Allāh, subḥānallāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh, and Allāhu akbar often.

3. Takbīrāt of Tashrīq,
– These are wajib (necessary) upon every adult Muslim (male and female) after every fardh ṣalāh beginning from:

Fajr of the 9th of Dhul Ḥijjah (Day of ‘Arafah) until ‘Asr of the 13th of Dhul Ḥijjah That is 23 fardh prayers in total.

The Takbīr is:

Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, lā ilāha illa Allāh, wa Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar wa lillāhil ḥamd.

One may recite "Allāhu akbar" three times as well in stead of two.
Reading this Takbir once is wajib, but it can be repeated more times as well for more reward.
– Men should recite it aloud, women softly.
– Recite after every fardh prayer immediately after saying salām.

4. General Good Deeds,
– Increase in ṣadaqah (charity), Qur’ān recitation, and seeking forgiveness.
– Avoid all sins and strive for sincerity in worship.
May Allah accept our worship, forgive our sins, and make us among those freed from the Hellfire on this blessed day.
Āmīn.

Was-salāmu ‘alaykum wa raḥmatullāh.

About Us

A Masjid Built on Faith, Unity, and Perseverance

Our masjid was founded in the early 2000s, during one of the most challenging times for Muslims in the U.S. Despite strong criticism, threats, and public opposition, Allah (SWT) guided us through every hurdle.

What began as a small effort to host Ramadan prayers in a rented space has now grown into a vibrant community hub in Douglasville, Metro Atlanta.

Moved by the lack of local prayer spaces and inspired by the needs of fellow Muslim families, we began hosting Tarawih and daily Salah in our home.

Alhamdulillah, with the support of our neighbors and the dedication of our community, we continued to grow.

After multiple failed attempts to secure a permanent location—facing rejections, legal obstacles, and remarks, we finally acquired and remodeled an old school building into the welcoming masjid we have today.

We are proud to be the first masjid in the area to follow authentic local moon sighting (Hilal) for Eid and to offer Jumu’ah khutbahs in Arabic, paired with English talks for greater community access.

This masjid is more than a building—it’s a story of resilience, sincerity, and collective faith. We invite you to be part of that story.
